Children's Ministry

While it is the blessing of parents to disciple their children,  it is our delight to come along side and help equip the younger saints for the work of the ministry and to encourage them to explore and operate in the fullness of their gifts and calling in the Kingdom.  Children don’t have a “junior” Holy Spirit. They don’t have to wait till they are grown to begin walking in their God given destinies. God’s desire is for the generations to work together bringing His Glory to the earth!

We want each child to know how much they are loved by God and His desire to have intimate relationship with them. Our goal is to function as ‘Eli’s’ to these little ‘Samuels’, helping them to develop a lifestyle of hearing His voice for themselves.  For example, we currently meet together Sunday morning for pre-service prayer. We ask Holy Spirit to allow us to participate in the service.  We ask him to come. We wait, listen and then pray out what He has laid on our hearts.  So very often we will see what we have prayed manifest in the service either in the preaching, the worship or the ministry time, a great faith builder!

During the Sunday morning preaching time we have a staffed nursery available for ages 1-2. It is a safe playing environment where they can feel the love of God.  The preschoolers meet to worship and hear Bible stories with Betty Lukens felt board presentations. They memorize verses as well! Kindergarteners through second graders meet together exploring the bible and learning how God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Third through eighth graders are using the Knights of the Cross discipleship program to further lay biblical foundations in their lives.  On the last Sunday of the month kindergarten through eighth graders all meet together for our own church service. There is preaching, testimonies, activations, and we often pray and prophesy over one another.

If you would like to join the team and have been with this fellowship for six months, you may pick up an application at the information table. We also have a dedicated group of young people sixth grade and older who help in the classrooms of the younger children. If you would like to be a part of these student helpers there is a training class offered each fall.
