What can I expect in your services?
We typically begin each Sunday with the preaching of the Word at 10:00am. After the message is completed, we provide a 20-30 minute period of fellowship where you can have a cup of coffee in the Minitorium and build relationship with others in this community of faith. We then worship corporately for as long as the Spirit is leading. Either following the worship or sometimes during the worship, we provide a time for people to receive ministry or prayer as needed.
This format, while unique, has some advantages. One is that there is no rush to finish the Worship/Ministry time. People are always free to leave as necessary during the worship time. Also, our church is a resource for many individuals who drive long distances each week to attend. Because of this, the designated fellowship time enables and encourages vital important relationships to develop.
What do I do with my kids?
Our desire is that we help you equip your children to enable them to experience a personal relationship with Jesus. It is not our desire to provide a “baby-sitting service.” We do, however, offer children’s church classes every Sunday during the ministering of the word. When you drop your children off, you will be given a pager that you will keep in case we need to contact you during the service. After the ministry of the word, during the fellowship time, you should go and pick your children, return the pagers and have them join you for the time of worship. Below is a list of children’s classes that are available from 10:00am-11:15am along with their locations. Please see the enclosed map for directions to these classes.
A supervised nursery is also available in the “Toddler’s Room” for mobile children up to 3 years old. You must sign in your child in the office lobby no later than 10am and get a pager. This service is available every Sunday only from 10am until end of sermon. You must pick your children up immediately following the ministry of the word during the fellowship time.
• Toddlers (Ages 1-2) – “Preschooler Room” Available every Sunday
• Preschool (Ages 3-5) – “Preschooler Room” Available every Sunday
• K – 2nd Grade & 3rd – 5th Grade – “Kidatorium” Available every Sunday
(Last Sunday of the month, K-5 in the “Kidatorium”)
Parents may register their children for children’s church until approximately 10:15 a.m. Sunday morning. After that time, to better protect the children, doors to the children’s area will be closed until approximately 11:00 a.m. After 10:15 a.m. children will not be accepted for registration but are welcome to accompany their parents in the auditorium. During service, a parent who registered the child may withdraw the child. The doors to the children’s area are locked except the door from the fellowship hall to the children’s area. At approximately 11:00 a.m., the doors to the children’s area will be open, to permit parents to collect their children. Be sure to remember to sign out!
When worship begins around 11:30 or so, the children’s area will be vacated and all doors into it will be locked.
Anyone with a key who unlocks a locked door during either of these times on Sunday is to lock it behind themselves immediately.
We also offer a cry room connected to the Main Auditorium that is available for babies and nursing mothers. There is no supervision in this room. Children must be accompanied by their parents at all times.
Your children’s safety is very important to us. All teachers are trained, background checked, and are always a minimum of two per class. Because this is a “marketplace” environment, we ask that you please keep a close eye on and take responsibility for your children before, during and after the service.
